Our environmental approach and software innovation
How many concurrent environmental projects are being run simultaneously by big well-funded environment organisations? Not sure, … me either, … but it isn’t many. Imagine being able to say we are doing 100,000 or 1,000,000 clean-up projects simultaneously on any particular day? That is significant progress and only possible using the resources and commitment of the global community, acting locally. That signifies a complete change in the scope of environmental action and achievement. That is environment4change.
Our innovation is a software platform created to support local environmentalism across the global. Our development is unique and offers no single point of control or failure, built on a blockchain for openness and transparency. We are building a ‘platform as a service’ (PaaS) that acts as a conduit for engagement, participation, educating, innovating, promoting and funding the best global environmental science and projects to drive action and awareness against ongoing rubbishing and ruination of our shared planet.
The PaaS is the only solution enabling any environmental project to scale. This is unique to this project, allowing for opensource environmental action and participation. This is our approach to solving our environmental challenges. Success is born by seeing everyone who wants to participate, participating. Our innovation is delivering a PaaS inclusive of all environmental action and entrepreneurship.
Although we offer a totally new approach to environmental action and results, our PaaS is built on technologies well known and understood. The innovation is the speciation! The bringing together of well understood technology in the service of a different application or applications. This approach worked for Sir Tim Berners-Lee in his invention of the World Wide Web (WWW), and we believe giving access to the global ALL is the right approach to defeat environmental rubbishing, degradation and habitat loss while encouraging sustainability and offering new business models around environmentalism. This approach is new and has not been executed in favour of the environment previously, although this approach, using a PaaS architecture, revolutionised many industries including Media, Advertising, HR, Sales and many more. Doesn’t the environment deserve the innovation of a global audience, with no barriers to entry or participation? We believe it does!
Our PaaS will compete with existing, old view environmentalism. Inviting the global ALL into the environmental fray will make some existing participates nervous. We do not apologise for this as we are losing the global war against planet ruination and it will take the global all to correct it, not out of profit but out of care. Although initially we may disrupt some in the environmental industry, our project offers, and is set to collaborate with existing environmental projects, seeing those projects move beyond their local boarders and boundaries and deliver services more socially, with an audience able to offer more in respect of product value chain support and value. This will be true of every collaborator as we build a new ecosystem of the willing and informed.
Our development project will redefine environmentalism around fairer and equal access and opportunity to world changing environmentalism. The genesis of all these gains will be the PaaS. Our approach of building a PaaS to benefit global environmentalism is consistent with the findings reported by the NCVO (National Council of Voluntary Organisations):
1. There is [sic] an increasing preference for opportunities that are flexible and quick to start.
2. Younger generations are cause-led and ‘sector agnostic’, so open to getting involved in multiple initiatives with the same goal.
3. Concern over the environment is at its highest level since 2010, and the sense of urgency to find solutions to the climate challenge is heightening.
4. Technology is being used as a tool to distribute power, sometimes disrupting institutions that previously held the monopoly over resources and influence.
5. Big data is important. Generating insights from data although challenging is key.
6. This innovation sees the best global environmental work promoted and shared through the most prolific advertising media of today, a social media.
As governments, in areas where PaaS is supported, sees and recognises community response, an ongoing readiness to support positive environmental community work will see further and future local support of this huge resource of free labour, in the services of improving their own living standards and conditions.
As the innovation promotes locals to act locally, linking together with their neighbour, creating a true global footprint, we are building a social movement around environmental local activity. The technology is based on technology speciation, we use nothing touching on patent protected intellectual property. We will choose some elements of open source code with the requisite permission from the owner. As we all have the inherent right to live in a clean and clear planet, we all have the right to engage in non-violent, non-socially disruptive environmental action and this is what we are delivering, based on an architecture proven to create new scales of economy and new industry participates and stakeholders. We have all have the right to engage in environmentalism, we are building a PaaS in support of our inherent right to act in favour of our shared planet!
